Let’s start with the formalities.

We need the successful candidate to have:

· A third level degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science related field.

  • 5+ years’ postgraduate relevant software development experience in a commercial environment providing technical leadership on complex / challenging technical projects
  • A proven ability to deliver high quality, working code.
  • Excellent knowledge of Golang and creating RESTful APIs
  • Excellent knowledge of containerized computing, for example Docker / Kubernetes
  • Excellent knowledge of database technologies, for example PostgresSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (vue/react/knockout/angular)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technology stack including Azure and associated technologies, C#, SQL Server a plus
  • Working knowledge of C++ also a plus

1. An expert your field – The Software Engineer will be responsible for creating high quality products and software features for MetaCompliance.

2. Collaboration is key – You will be collaborating with system architects and the product team to define what are the best technological answers to our complex problems.

What responsibilities will the Software Engineer have?

· Develops, tests, and helps deliver high quality, performant software products and features to our customers.

  • Works with the Product team to ensure that any new requirements are well understood within the team.
  • Review any design deliverables to ensure they are fully coordinated, are within agreed timescales and meet team objectives.
  • Enforce the coding standards document as it stands, enforce coding quality and code reviews, and suggest improvements as necessary to coding standards et al.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to quickly work to close required Support cases and fix issues as a matter of priority.
  • Work on assigned Change Requests and Enhancement Requests alongside Operations and other development teams and assist junior team members in their assigned CRs and ERs.

  • Someone who can’t keep their eye on the ball, or lots of balls as the case may be
  • An individual that will seek constant direction or are still finding their feet in the world of product management or SaaS platforms – we need expertise.
  • Someone who is scared to come out of their comfort zone and try something new whilst learning along the way.

  • Own their own s**t and have exceptional attention to detail and always seeking a better way of doing things.
  • Be willing to learn at as fast and become an expert on our product, not afraid to roll up their sleeves and adopt a hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrate willingness and persistence to innovate personally.
  • Determination to overcome hurdles, solves problems and complete the job.
  • Anticipates unplanned events and adjusts accordingly.
  • Someone who has excellent written and oral communication skills across all stakeholders (Must be fluent in spoken and written Portuguese and English).
